Description
A noncanonical IKK that has an essential role in regulating inflammatory responses to pathogens; interacts with STING, MAVS, and TANK to phosphorylate and activate IRF3, IRF7, and DDX3X which leads to transcriptional activation of IFN-α and β; phosphorylates the autophagy receptor optineurin to enhance binding of LC3 modifiers and induce autophagic clearance of S. enterica.
